Players can practice in the Pro-Am before competing with EASHL Clubs. It has a series of challenges involving challenging squads. The Pro-Am competition hosts the best players of the past and present. However, they have to create an account for the EA Sports Hockey League Clubs or EASHL Clubs to take part in the competition. Participants battle for a winner-take-all competition to reach the goal of becoming the best among the rest. The game also offers the Eliminator Mode, which has a very competitive environment. Players can build the greatest custom character they wish to own for competing online. NHL 20 Beta has more than 900 classes, pieces of gear, specialties, and traits for unlocking. Players can use their newly created character across all game modes. It unifies the customization process and character progression.
